Housekeeping is an increasingly popular form of work, and so much more than the clichéd image of mop and pinny.
It’s a great way to get back into the workforce or top up household income, and not only do you get to see immediate results of your labour, but you never have to take work home with you! Email Mum elite housekeepers are highly respected for the job they do, being empowered and entrusted to carry out their role with minimum supervision.
As one of them, you will be providing a top quality tailor-made service in properties ranging from newly-built modern houses to large old country properties with grand staircases! Every home is different with varying needs, and it’s this that makes the role of an Email ‘Mum’ so interesting.
Because we recognise that everyone is individual, we offer our clients a more flexible service than other cleaning companies. We also match housekeeper to client based on skills,
location and availability plus the style and needs of the house. Once you are paired with a home, you become that owner’s exclusive housekeeper, which is a unique part of our service that clients absolutely love.
It enables both client and housekeeper to get to know and trust one another, and ensures that you as the regular housekeeper learn how to give the best to the home you are taking care of. It makes it easier for you to deliver Email Mum’s 5* personalised service just the way the client wants it, backed up by your experienced and approachable management team.
What Email Mum Housekeepers Need
• To be able to work on a regular basis once assigned their own clients and properties to look after
• To have their own vehicle and a current UK driving licence
• To be reliable, trustworthy and able to work unsupervised
Employment Package
You will receive initial full training and induction on working the Email Mum way, and thereafter, full support and regular contact with the management team to help you carry out your role happily and safely. Once fully trained and matched with regular clients, you will be working largely unsupervised in individual properties on either a weekly or fortnightly basis, but the office is always open or there’s always someone on the end of a phone to sort out any issues you may encounter, or just for you to communicate with.
We are not an agency! Every Email Mum employee is directly employed and insured by us with full PAYE contract, hourly rates well above the National Living Wage, paid holidays, pension and other benefits such as petrol reimbursement. We provide all staff with monthly rota/time sheets that the individual employee uses each week to record their working hours, then at the end of the month, these are delivered to the office and payroll is processed, and wages paid directly into staff bank accounts.
You are also fully insured when you work for Email Mum, protecting both you and the client at all times.
Our working week is Monday to Friday, with hours falling mostly between 9am-3pm (though some employees
choose to start slightly earlier and/or finish slightly later). We do not work on evenings or weekends.
We also have an annual Christmas Shutdown so that you can spend quality time with loved ones over the festive period!
